Alexander Zelenkov, who is sculpting for this New figure range from Stalingrad Resin Figures has provided some images of latest WIP from the company...
This time, following on from Pat's previous report on the range, the subject is German Officers and Other Ranks.

What makes these figures come into the 'special' category is the ability of Alexander to have captured a real air of dejection of the subjects as they are marching (slouching?) into captivity at the end of WWII. This contrasts, IMO, very realistically from many of the other figures available in 1/35th scale which still portray an image of the almost Wagnerian 'Supermen'..

Although this is a WIP, the initial images are extremely promising - full of potential for dioramists and figure painters alike..

My goodness, the temptation is there to throw these figures on the autobahn center median, walking to the west while the US Army floods by in the opposite direction. They scream "defeat" almost as much as "I'm tired".
