Italeri have released a 1/35 scale plastic kit of the Italian Carro Armato P 40.

I have to admit I missed the announcement of this release and the first I knew of it was when I came across it while trawling through LuckyModel’s website.

I think this vehicle was previously available in resin from Criel model. I remember Steve Saloga doing a build article in Military Modelling agood few years ago.

Although designed in 1940 very few P40s, -five or less, had been completed by the time Italy surrendered in 1943. Another 100 were completed and used by the Germans under the designation Panzerkampfwagen P40 737(i).

Judging from the pics the kit IT 6476 Carro Armato P 40 comes on 5 plastic sprues, with a metal gun barrel and a brass PE fret. Also included is one of Italeri’s reference booklets.
