That's good, since I believe Warriors' set is now OOP.

Convenience is bliss it seems... Where has the time gone when someone took a fresh Xacto knife and chipped his own damage into the kit supplied rubber rimmed wheels...

That time has come back- for me anyway- due to the current recession I now do as much scratch building and old style hands on modelling as I can. However (Pause to take a deep breath) This is not direct partcularly at you Herbert. However.....Some modelers like buying this kind of stuff, plenty of distressed roadwheels out there for other tanks by other manufactureres attest to this. There are still modelers out there who have money and who will buy these -not me, but I hope Skp sell truckloads of them and invest the money in developing the line of kits they have that no one else seems to want to produce. There's been a trend recently in the news section for posters to say "What's the point in this product? Any modeller worth his salt could do this much cheaper" I post the news for all modelers to see what's out there and decide whether they want it or not. Anyone who wants to step up to the plate and produce an article on How To Distress Kit Roadwheels Simply And Cheaply At Home with good photos can send it to me and I'll make sure it gets published on Armorama. Rant over

I agree. You can make your own antennas, but I wouldn't, at least not for most Wehrmacht vehicles. You can make your own weathering pigments, but I like it that MIG's do what they're advertised to do. You can distress your own wheels. I've done it, but on my Hetzer, I picked up a set of the old Warriors wheels cheap and they worked fine. One less thing I had to think about in a build that was plenty complex as it was thanks to PE, Schürzen, and yes, an AM antenna. Herbert, how about it? Why don't you put your knowledge where your mouth is and do a feature on how to distress road wheels?

Hi Pat. [rant] I think when companies are getting the chance for free exposure, they could at least supply decent images. The CAD drawing is clear, but the other is pretty much worthless, as far as seeing how the damage is in reality. [/rant] I agree with the comments made so far ... ths is a simple thing to do with the kit supplied wheels. But as the Dragon kits have poor detail on the backside, and this can be seen if looking closly underneath, this actually might have been an interesting solution. Hence my rant about poor images ... I checked the link to see whet the backsides are like .... and nothing. I know its not anything to do with Armorama ... but I still think we could demand something worth having to click on the extra link for. I have a few hetzers in the "to do" pile, and RJ enterprise wheels for them ... so Im sure others would be willing to take this route. just food for thought
