In an announcement which came straight out of the left-field, HobbyBoss Ltd. have sent us images of a surprising release.
82434 - PLA ZLC-2000 ACV (Airborne Combat Vehicle).

The ZLC-2000 airborne combat vehicle entered service with the Chinese airborne units in 2003. It is the first Chinese ACV,
Vehicle is armed with a 25-mm turret mounted cannon. The turret is also completed with a HJ-73C anti-tank guided missile launcher.
The ZLC-2000 can be airdropped from any medium transport aircraft using parachute platform. Unlike the latest Russian ACV designs the ZLC-2000 is dropped separately from the crew.

The model is scheduled for release in June 2009

I admit I don't know really anything about current Chinese AFVs so I have to do some research on this one. Is that missile a copy of the Russian Sagger? If so that is one old missile (ie. 1960s tech) to be installed on a current IFV. Definitely an interesting release.

The Chinese HJ-73C anti-tank guided missile is indeed a copy of the AT-3 Sagger : http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/russia/at-3.htm More info about the ZLC 2000 (aka WZ 506) : http://www.military-today.com/apc/zlc_2000.htm HTH Frenchy

ZLC 2000 didn't arm with 25mm gun. It's a 30mm gun which copy Russian 2A72 2009 10.1 Chinese National Day, It'll show in a parade

Interesting release. An AFV that was totally unknown to me before the release of this kit. It could be a fun build - it will be interesting to see some sprue shots. Thanks for the update
