For modellers interested in modelling the U.S.M.C, HardCorps Models has now launched it's online store with a selection of products guaranteed to tempt the Marine Corps Modeller...

Started by three enthusiasts of the'Corps' - Bill Chilstrom, David Harper and Gordon Stronach HardCorps are concentrating entirely on decal and conversion sets for the Pacific war, the majority of its sets for U.S.M.C. vehicles although as an added bonus, they have produced a set for Australian Matilda IIs

The first conversion set from HardCorps, takes the form of the following:

HX35002 Is a (resin) conversion set for the M4a3 Sherman. It consists of the parts necessary for the bolt-on wooden/concrete armor used in the Pacific. This armor was a field modification to give added protection to the hull-sides during the bloody fighting on the islands. The set includes both the side armor and the wooden suspension armor. As this is a short-run kit, supplies are VERY limited. You have been warned! HX35002 retails at $16.95.

Moving onto decal sets, four sets are currently available:

HXDT01 Is a set of very useful Data stencils for the LVT.

HXDT03 Consists of grafitti for LVTs

HXDT04 Is 'generic' Pacific grafitti, the sort which would be found on structures/vehicles etc.

HXDT05 Is a SUPERBLY useful sheet for Australian Matilda IIs

HXDT010 Is a set of decals for the 'Satan'. Satan was a flame-tank version of the Stuart and I would imagine HardCorps are planning a resin conversion set for future release - or at least considering it!

All the decal sets are priced at $10.00 each.
