Sgt Larry Ansell was part of the 1st Airborne Division that jumped into Arnhem during Operation Market Garden in 1944. His image became well known from a photograph taken on the day after he landed, having just captured a German soldier. Following days of fighting at the bridge, Sgt. Ansell was eventually captured and later held as a POW in Germany.
