This new 1/35 scale kit allows modelers to construct a Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.H Late-Production tank with Zimmerit.
If builders wish to add Zimmerit texture themselves, then plain armor surfaces are included in the box to which putty can be added and appropriately textured. This allows modelers to build the exact pattern that they want.

However, most will probably opt for the convenience of Dragon’s molded Zimmerit, where the patterned surface is accurately and realistically rendered on major parts like the turret, glacis, upper hull, lower hull, rear panel and front/rear fenders. Of course, this negates the need for modelers to undertake the onerous task of adding Zimmerit themselves.

Other highlights of this kit are that the hull schurzen has been recreated in metal to achieve scale thickness. Various decal markings are also provided in the box, as are a healthy collection of photo-etched metal parts.

I know at least two people who missed previous releases of this kit and will want one. Most Dragon kits anymore are limited runs and you miss the first one often you're SOL. But if magic tracks as the spares why not magic track for the whole run?

It's funny but Dragon always puts out detailed CAD images of the plastic but never the paint and decal options that might excite more interest.

Oh look! It's raining Pz IV J's! First Border announces their release and then Dragon offers a re-release. Geez...

Dragon's marketing team apparently assumes that people who do indie link track are also the hairy-chested individualists who like to do their own Zimmerit. On Dragon offerings where Zimmerit is molded in place, the assumption is that these are kits for modelers who want a simpler life, so they get flexible band tracks. Dragon has been pretty consistent about this on most of their Dragon-Zimmerit releases.

I like these 2 in 1 kits as they give you options and that is not a bad thing .Plus i have missed these the first time . I am not happy with the DS track though i would rather have magic track . I am just hoping they will do the early brummbar

Afraid the thread title wrecks your joke, mate.[/quote] Not to mention the RFM announcement? Or perhaps Dragon got confused over the H/J thing?

This is a welcome re-release of the Normandy era vehicle. From the box lid it once again supplies the Hitler Jugend marking options from well known photos of the period. Having made the original issue I probably won't bother with this, but if you missed it first time, this is avery good kit.

It is a nice kit, but I already have the 1st one 6560 unbuilt. There does not seem to be much different a kit. Great release for those who missed the first one.
