Dragon continues its 2-in-1 series with its focus now turning to the Sd.Kfz.7/2 anti-aircraft halftrack.
Original versions of this air defense vehicle had a regular open cab, whereas the armored Sd.Kfz.7/2 version appeared from late 1943 onwards.

The weapon also switched from the Flak 36 to the improved Flak 37 in 1944. Dragon’s 2-in-1 kit of these Sd.Kfz.7/2 halftracks provides modelers with either a regular open cab or an armored cab.

Furthermore, the kit offers two different types of tailgates/dropsides. Featuring slide-mold technology and photo-etched parts, the halftrack chassis and 3.7cm cannons exhibit an ultimate level of accuracy.

I will have to look at the one in my stash and see whether this is any real improvement.

No sprue photos to illustrate these vast improvements? If Dragon is going to go to all the trouble of making these changes it seems they would want to talk about them more.

Well to me it seems a good idea you get both cab options sides ect so you have choices ,what not to like about having choice. I think its a good idea plus the spare parts bin is get filled with lots of extra's

I agree, I like the sound of it - I just wanna see it!

Underwhelming it in obviousness; they already offer both versions so combing them as a "new" offer was a no-brainer. Still, as the man said, choice is nice and the kits are terrific.

Minor correction regarding history: the Flak 36 and 37 differ only in gun sight, and the latter was introduced in 1939. The Flak 43 was a major improvement, adopted by the Luftwaffe in 1943 and the Heer in 1944. But that's not included in the kit.

Guess what I'm going to kitbash when I get to the one in my stash! Trumpeter makes an acceptable/nice FLAK 43 gun separately.
