Yes I agree, not usable because of the vision problem. They do seem to be rather large as well.

Back to the drawing board with this one SOL.Looks way oversize, and the wood hull planking is a pattern I've never seen in the literally thousands of Sherman pics I've viewed. I've done better with epoxy myself and the old LEGEND sandbag set puts this to shame.

Is there any photo evidence for sandbags held in wooden frames? I've seen lots of metal frames because a) they are stronger, and b) they can be spot-welded to attach to the tank.

You guys have it all wrong! They aren't sand bags -they're bags of dirty laundry! Hard to believe that anyone would think that a hundred pound bag of sand chucked up on top of a tank could be doable, or that, after throwing the equivalent of two tons of sand up there, a wooden frame will hold it in place as it bumps along over obstacles... so I'm sticking with the idea that these bags constitute the unit's dirty laundry.

That's how its done Pawel, you need to cast those and sell them. 25 years in the infantry, i've hauled my fair share of sand bags. No way I would have filled a bag that much.

Not to make light of what looks like a terrible representation of Sherman sandbags-- but former military folks will probably remember what the acronym "SOL" stands for-- and in this case, it looks like the manufacturers moniker is quite appropriate. . VR, Russ

Hi, All! You're darn'-tootin' them thangs ain't USABLE!!! I never liked the looks of sandbags covering up Shermans, ergo I never built any of mine that way, nor will I ever. So this "pile" of "sandbags" is totally lost on me... Sorry SOL, but you're completely "SOL" with me on this one... (no pun intended)
