ARMOR35 is expanding their range of resin figures with BIKINY GIRL.
In the past few years some model companies have released figurines in a genre of "pin-ups." Armor35 is taking the plunge with this figure in three scales: 1/35, 1/24, and 1/16.

Cheesy, Fred, cheesy.

I am sure there must be a call for this figure type due to the numbers produced by various companies and I also have to say at this this one has the essentials covered. What I would be interested in is seeing how the figure detail changes in the different scales. With that said I cannot recall seeing this figure type used very often.

Another example of a company offering a figure that will likely have VERY limited sales, while ignoring the need for PTO figures.

Well the 1:24 scale version should be popular with the car modelers. She will have her place standing next to a dune buggy, hot rod, a Harley or a monster truck. Cheers,

Hey Darren, I like that line of "covering the essentials"! Uh huh. Always wondered about these kinds of figures but hey if that floats your boat how is this any different than the Panzer Babes series featured some time back?

In truth it's actually the reverse. These sell better than PTO figures which are a much smaller niche than people who like pretty girls. It's a bigger and stranger world that figures like this cater to. Painting lots of skin is something of a challenge the same as an undraped figure is to draw over a clothed one. The shapes and tones are tougher to pull off especially with the subtle contrast one needs for a female figure. Let us have our figures and we won't complain about so many panzer crewmen. There are more "Kharkov " figures than there were actual German soldiers at Kharkov. And yes I am desperate myself for a couple of PTO crews for my kits. But as I have this insane sense of humor, think I'll put bikini girls on the tanks instead.
