Looking at the poses, they look like they'd fit in halftracks and trucks. That one with the thick lips looks like the actor Hardy Krueger.

Odd...they're dressed as mid to late war, but they're still retaining their gas cape pouches!

You mean burial shroud.

These are great poses and I can see using a set or three in the back of a 251 or other troop transport. On the list!

Thank you Miniart, drop the gas cape pouch off the front as Biggles mentioned...perfect late war and saves me chopping up Brit figures to make late Germans.

With slight modifications, you can! 1. convert putties to resemble US double buckle boots by sanding parts of the lower edge of putties 2. cast off german equipment 3. modify helmets by sanding lower edge, adding putty to resemble Yugoslav "neretva" helmet LINK 3. provide crew with Ak47 (better - m70 available in DML ak47 kit) and appropriate ammo bags then you'll get early yugoslav confict soldiers that sits on t55 Alternatively, provide them with modern US helmets, add side pockets on the trousers, and you could use them for Kosovo conflict

You also have to carve away the cape pouch strap and re-sculpt the uniform. It can be done...but extra work! Unless the gas cape pouch was hung from the same strap as the gas mask container...I'm not sure about that.

The Gasplane or anti-gas cape continued to issued, although, like the gas mask, it never saw the use it was intended for. Some soldiers wrapped the cape around the gas mask canister. In fact the cape in its pouch clipped onto the gas mask strap, so that is why there are no extra straps required.

Okay so a photo has surfaced showing a large group of German infantry on the Eastern front wearing precisely this uniform. Including the burial shroud- er gas Cape hung on the front. And damn if they ain't as ugly as the face sculpts on these figures.
