Just when it seemed Tamiya was going to concentrate on it's 1/48 scale line come these releases in 1/35.

I'm not sure but I think DML also have a new tooled JS II in the pipeline so we'll see Tamiya and DML go head to head with this one. We live in interesting times.

Am I seeing things or is that a Citroën Traction 11CV in photo #3? That's great if it's in 1/35th. jjumbo

Thanks Jim! Good to see Mr. T get back in the 1/35 game in a strong manner this year. A few more Commonwealth trooper sets and we could do a Dunkirque diorama!(just kidding) I see an ever lengthening wish list on my bench!

I wonder if picture 3 slipped in by mistake - I suspect they may be 1/48th figures. If you look carefully they look like Luftwaffe "types", one pair is a pilot being helped on with his parachute. Would be nice if the Citroen had been scaled up though. Seems Tamiya are keen to get more mileage out of the Char B1bis, I'll bet this is a seller. What's the griff on all the French subjects (not that I'm complaining, I've got the Char B1)? Have Tamiya got a French factory so as to get into the EU & avoid paying import taxes like Hondas made in Italy?

Still with the 1916 pattern ammo pouches, just like Heller used to - I'd love some 1935 pattern ones. At least the glass is half full David

I really like the French early war stuff. I'm not so thrilled about the other re-release kits with ICM figures (I've nothing against ICM). I'll take what I can get though. It'll be nice to have some early war combatants that aren't German. Keep it up Tamiya.
