Dragon offers a 2-in-1 Jagtiger that can be built with or without zimmerit.
Dragon enjoyed an enthusiastic response to its recently released Jagdpanther 2-in-1 kit (Item No. 6758), and so it is time to apply the same treatment to the even more formidable Jagdtiger.

The first 11 Jagdtigers employed a Porsche suspension system that used a paired external torsion bar suspension system with eight single road wheels, while subsequent vehicles employed a Henschel suspension design.

Dragon’s new 1/35 scale 2-in-1 kit depicts just such a Jagdtiger with the earlier Porsche suspension system. The 2-in-1 descriptor applies because modelers can make a vehicle either with Zimmerit or without that special textured anti-magnetic layer.
Thus there are two complete upper hulls (with fighting superstructure), lower hulls and rear plates in the box both with and without the characteristic Zimmerit pattern.
Should a modeler opt for the Zimmerit version, they’ll find that the pattern is made to a master’s standard.

They retired the previous version and added the zimmerit parts to make a "new" kit. I think they are trying to streamline their inventory by reducing some of the redundancy.

Dragon had its moment, in the sun. I still enjoy some of their older kits(Smart kits/Premium/39-45) and prefer this to another Black Label fiasco. The zimmerit is nicely done. The rest of the kit is just another jagdtiger, though. I hope they begin competitive pricing, with this one. Ez Track sounds interesting. Guess it's clickable?

It's retailing at their current $75 level. But then again, smart shoppers hit ebay or DragonUSA's sales. I have never paid retail for Dragon.

Dragon's interpretation of '2 in 1' apparently means one kit for the price of two...

It appears they have link and length track on this version, which is extremely welcome, as in the ealier kits of the Porsche version, each pair of track links had one wide link, one narrow link, and three little dog-bone connectors that all had to be joined individually, a real mind-numbing exercise, so this combo kit is actually very welcome.

No metal barrel?

Ah, but that was just an exercise to teach the virtue of patience, young grasshopper. Seriously, though, those did suck.

And not a picture of the suspension, which is the distinctive thing about this vehicle.
