Meng has announced a new set of three WWII German figures.
The figures are in resin, and the set comes also with a barrel they are using to warm. The poses of the soldiers, one of them being wounded, reflect tiredness.

A nice set that will be useful for winter scenes.

These look really good for plastic figs. J

Testing more waters I guess.

They are resin. I, for one, welcome them. They would be perfect tank riders. Just add a few weapons. I have a couple of builds I am planning that I can use them in.

These are very nice figures. I am a bit surprised in a good way that a plastics company would go the resin route because of the extra work but resin trumps plastic every time because of the super sharp detail. I have no problem with plastic either but I can't remember how many times I've bought plastic because of the really nice box art only to be disappointed with flat detail. Now I mainly use them for parts that will make my resin figures a bit more unique.

Meng's releasing a 5-figure PLA armoured vehicle crew next month. HLJ has it available for pre-order.

They are good poses. Priced reasonably they will sell well. Meng will make money. That's why they chose to produce them.

I like them a lot. Always would rather have soldiers at leisure than "action" poses.

They look cold. As a Canadian I can sympathize. Unexpected that they are in resin. Hope that it doesn't effect the price too much.

Finally with all the modern subjects on the market and options there, its good to see the manufacturers FINALLY covering that huge gap in WW2 German figures.
