This looks like a nice barrel for the Firefly. What surprised me is that with all these matal barrels that none of the AM manufactures have made a 17pdr breech block to go with their barrels which is the obvious missing bit when the hatches are open!! Maybe one day. Al

Right today I bought ABER's barrel for the Firefly! Don't get me wrong, it's a great one with perfect quality, but armorscale's extra resin parts and the machine gun are some perfect pros for this barrel set. And it's not even more expensive, at least in Germany.

Considering the value for money that ArmorScale products represent, I fail to see how much more they could add. Scratchbuilding a breech block (or adapting an existing one) should be a pretty simple process. If the AM manufacturers started adding them the price would double - Economics 1.01 i'm afraid...

Jim, Correct me if I`m wrong - but the StuG III F 8 was armed with the L/48 75mm and not the L/43 which was used on the StuG III F SDL
