Monroe Perdu has released a new 1/48 scale Zimmerit set for Tamiya’s Stug III kit.
The set depicts the pattern as produced at the MIAG factory. It is made of laser-etched paper and has the correct scale and color of raw Zimmerit. It may be attached using common white glue (PVA) and it is easily modified to depict either wear or battle damage. Also included in the set are side skirts that may be used to replace the plastic kit parts.

Our thanks to Monroe Perdu for the update.

Isn't "raw" zimmerit dark yellow as it was colored with ochre? So it should be almost the same color as Dunklegelb. But, no real biggie as the zimmerit can be airbrushed the appropriate color before applying.

The mix includes an ochre color, but there are some who say that this was dropped over time, thus comes the light grey, white belief. Been discussed at length, here are some threads: http://www.armorama.co.uk/forums/148287 http://www.network54.com/Forum/47207/thread/1309390656/What+Color+Was+Zimmerit+Out+of+the+Can
