New from Ace Models is its kit of a familiar armored vehicle, the V-100.
The V-100 was a highly mobile, fully amphibious 4 x 4 armored car used for reconnaissance, convoy escort, riot control, security, and as a personnel carrier. Built by Cadillac Gage, the vehicle was powered by a 215hp V8 engine. It can run on flat tires, and its high clearance gave it excellent mobility. The V-100 entered service in 1963 with the U.S. Army and Air Force in Vietnam. Over time the basic V-100 design was improved and has since been deployed by other military and police organizations worldwide.

Ace Model’s V-100 (XM-706 E1) Armored Patrol Car (72431) is offered as a 1/72 scale injection molded kit, and includes rubber tires.

Background information on the vehicle sourced from Wikipedia and Globalsecurity.org

Back in the day I used to build a lot in this scale. I remember getting a few Ace models back then (BRDM-1, BMP-2 FREX) and they were a bit of a bear to build. How are these now, out of curiousity? Sprue shots certainly look better than what I experienced back then... Damon.
