Armory has opened the pre-order for their latest release, an antiaircraft system 96K6 "Pantsir-C1"
Known also with NATO code SA-22 Greyhound, the Pantsir C-1 is a combined short to medium range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery weapon system produced in Russia. It is mounted on an 8×8 Truck KAMAZ-6560.

The kit has some impressive figures for a 1/72 model, with almost 300 plastic and 28 photoetched parts. This limited run version comes also with resin weighted tires.

One built the overall length of the model will be 142mm, not bad for a 1/72 truck.

Any idea what a "Pantsir" is? What does it mean? Or is this some weird Russian joke that no one else gets?
