It has been more than ten years since Trumpeter's releases in 1/35 scale, this time around expect to see one in braille scale.
The SA-6 Gainful (Russian:2K12 Kub) is a low-to-medium-altitude surface-to-air (SAM) missile system which entered service with Russian army in 1967. It carried 3 Kub missiles on a turntable with full 360 degree traverse with the missiles elevated to a maximum of +85 degrees. During travel, the turntable is traversed to the rear, with the missiles in horizontal position in order to reduce the overall height of the vehicle. It proved highly effective when first used by Syrian and Egyptian forces against Israeli aircraft during the early days of the Yom Kippur War (1973). There have been other operators as well and the SA-6 Gainful has seen action in subsequent conflicts such as the Iran-Iraq War, Lebanon, the Gulf War, and of late, the Yugoslav Wars

Trumpeter’s Russian SAM-6 Antiaircraft Missile (07109) contains over 30 parts spread over 3 sprues. Aside from Soviet markings the decal sheet includes national insignias for Poland, East Germany, and Czechoslovakia. When built, the model’s dimensions are 97.2mm (L) by 45mm (W).

Comments

Looks like they failed to correct the mis-proportioned missiles in this release; They're still too long and skinny. At least there are AM replacements for 1/35.
