Finally one of the missing vehicles in plastic has been done at 1/35 by Dragon: the Ammunition carrier Sd.Kfz. 252 and its trailer.
The Sd.Kfz. 252 leichte Gepanzerte Munitionskraftwagen was a light armoured ammunition carrier based on the Sd.Kfz. 250 series. It served in Sturm Artillerie Abteilungen supplying the StuG guns during the Battle of France and afterwards on the Eastern Front.

This model from Dragon features a full interior with accessories, photo etch parts and Magic Tracks. The ammunition inside can be shown also with bin doors open.

The kit includes also a newly tooled Sd.Ah.23/1 trailer, which can be built with open doors as well.

What have we learned about the release. Will this truly hit the market or was this all a ruse?

Still on pre-order status -- apparently the release dates have been pushed again. Hobby Easy has it for 28 December release. Dragon USA by January 2017. To me, seeing built up photos is assurance that its release is just around the corner, rather than looking at CAD or box art for years on end. Well, that's just me hoping

Well, its the end of December and still no firm release date for the sd kfz 252 except a vague announcement promising a January 2017 release. And a new trend in pushing that price envelope. $67.99? Ouch!

Picked this up today at the LHS: At the current FX rates it works to about US$48 -- not bad. I guess Dragon has updated its box / packaging, as it's the first time I've seen such box top layout.

Thanks Carlos. I may have this as entry for the ongoing half-track campaign -- that is, if I get to muster enough courage to do one at this level of detail Had a quick peek -- there's a figure included in this one. Cheers, Tat

Being a Dragon kit, we can be reasonably sure the delay was not a result of proofing and editing the instructions....
