HDModels presents their range of diorama accessories for Italian urban scenes, a series of elements that are typical from Italy and have been reproduced using 3D printing technology.
HDM001 - A Tribute to Rome
The first kit is a homage to the city which gave birth to the company and contains 4 accessories, including the iconic “Nasone”: the small fountains that are found all over Rome. The kit is part of the “War in Italy” series, which aims to faithfully reproduce objects and accessories related to the Italy campaign.

The “Nasone” is a particular subject which has never been covered before and particularly captivating. Particularly noteworthy details are the wreaths on the cap, the SPQR symbol and the beak, which are all difficult to reproduce.
The postbox has some superb details, such as the royal coat of arms next to the shield and the writing cassetta per lettere (postbox) and REGIE POSTE (Royal Post), all in an area of 1cm by 0.6 cm.

The last elements of the kit are a road sign and a drain cover (note the letters SPQR, the coat of arms and the name of the foundry).

HDM002 - Urban North Italy
The second kit in the “War in Italy” series, this time turning to northern Italy and the “Vedovella”: the water fountains found in Milan and Northern Italy. The little beak has a dragon head and detailed grate.

The kit is completed with two street signs with elaborate fasces from via Antinozzi and a generic manhole cover (drinkable water). It’s worth noting that the manhole cover is supplied with its base, in case “ripped pavement” effect is desired. Otherwise it will suffice to use only the base.

HDM003 - Italian Rail Fence
A typical Italian rail fence, the kit has the FS logo and the year of production (1922) and is composed of three elements and four poles, of which one is angular.
The kit is completely modular and several kits can be connected.

HDM009 - Urban South Italy
The third kit in the “War in Italy” series is comprised of four items.
This time we go to the south, in particular the Puglia region. The fountain and the sewer grate are “Pugliese”. Here too the details are not lacking, with the names on the manhole covers (which are round) and the sewer grates. The last part of the kit is the usual street sign.

Note that on their website www.hdmodels.it you can find information sheets with the history of the objects and some interesting photographs.

Some nice looking stuff here. If I'd ever get off my dead kiester and finish something I could see using some of these items. Thanks Carlos for alerting us to these well thought out items !
