Takom has released new photos of their upcoming King Tiger with more details of the interior. It looks to have Zimmerit molded in place and Takom has revealed that there will actually be three kits released. The exact quote is "2045 features turret with standard zimmerit application, and 2047 has the zimmerit panels removed from the turret sides for special Pz.Abt.505 markings". Additionally, we get a version with the Porsche turret as well.

"Free interior"? How much is the kit?

It's not quite free.. their usual kits run around $43 (in HK), and these will go for around $53.. so, you can say you're getting the interior for $10, I guess Luckymodel Hisham

It looks like the prices are close.. whether you buy from HK and add shipping, or if you buy from stores in the States. How much shipping does DragonUSA charge inside the States, or do they offer free shipping in the contiguous States? Hisham

For me,standard ground shipping would be $7.62 or free shipping over $100.00 + I earn Dragon Dollars toward next purchase. But I will wait for reviews and compare it with the upcoming Meng release

Hmmm...not free, but quite affordable (in USD). In the "Great White North" it'll still cost around $100 CAD.

The addition of a good interior makes this a will buy for me, tank models feel more impressive when you can see the guts of them. I wish they were doing one without zimmerit but it's not a deal breaker.

Pretty sure it was stated (although I don't recall where) that they will be doing another version without the zimmerit after the intitial three are out. You just may have to wait another couple of months for that one. Michael

Got mine today, Kit #2073 Henschel turret. Its amazing! So much packed into such a deep box. Shame there aren't more extras like brass shells, aluminum barrel, but hey, can't have everything for that price-point. Can't decide if I want to model a late with appropriate mods, or put on my own Zimmerit. Shame that the hull and turret aren't transparent, so out comes the Dremel saw...
