Panzer Concepts has informed us that they are working on a Sd.Kfz. 9/2 conversion for the Tamiya Famo kit.
The Sd. Kfz. 9/2 variant mounted a huge 10 ton gasoline-electric crane, with all round power traverse. Due to the heavy loads it could lift, outriggers were needed to stabilize the vehicle.

This conversion adds a lot of interest and size to an already big subject like the Famo.

Panzer Concepts has shared photos of the in-progress modified chassis, and 3D basic drawings of the crane -the final model will have all details.

It is estimated to be released in June.

Beautiful work, well overdue. The Bilsen crane looks wimpy compared to this monster!
