MacOne Models now offers also wooden pallets in resin at 1/35 scale.
In use since the 30's as an easier way to transport heavy stacks, the pallets are seen everywhere, for trucks, trains or vessels.

In modelling these pallets can hold boxes, be stacked on the cargo bed of a truck, being abandoned on a diorama... the possibilities are endless. And they can be painted in colours, left as new wood or heavy weathered.

Each set from MacOne Models has 3 pieces, each one of 34 × 28 × 6 mm, which represent a real pallet of 1200 × 1000 mm. This size is mostly used in Europe and Asia, and is quite close to the 1219 × 1016 in use by the U.S. Army.

Don't know how popular these are going to be. Pallets are pretty easy to make yourself.

Sure, technically it is not that difficult. But you will need to buy two sizes of styrene strips, with each Evergreen set usually over 5 euros. Or cut them from a sheet and then sand the edges for 80 cm of strips and stack a few to make the bigger inner beams. And then align and glue everything, and mark the wooden texture. The set is priced at 6 euros. Considering the cost of the materials and time needed to build your own, I think it is an interesting product.

Why use styrene when wooden coffee stirrers and balsa wood would work just fine?
