Riich Model has announced a new Universal Carrier release in 1/35th scale. This offering will be a limited production and will also include a Welbike.
This model has the workable suspension and a lot of photo etch, and so this model is not for the novice. If you are up to the task this is a stunning looking model.

RV 35034 1/35 British Airborne Universal Carrier (MK.III) and Welbike Mk.2 (Limited Edition)

Ok let me play thick on this one, so the difference on this kit compared to previous releases of the UC would be the photo-etched body? And Welbike. I don't believe the plastic walls were that bad in the first releases, but the Airborne decals would be nice.

The Mk III UC represented a redesign of the carrier body with no radiator air intake behind the driver and a different shape for the engine cover.

I hope for beginner and intermediate modelers that you can build it without the PE.
JAN 21, 2016 - 12:00 AM
The plastic parts are from the original MkII kit. The Mk III upon which the airborne carrier was based can only be built with the PE parts

So the price tag on this limited edition is going to be up there, thats a first for me having a kit with so much PE , Maybe the after market kits for this will be plastic!!!!?

Is the armor plate going to be etched in thicker PE than the other parts?
