The second part of the news from Soga Miniatures should be very interesting for all those modeling German Flaks. Soga released two sets of 1/35 scale figures depicting Flak 38 crew.
SOGA-7 - Crew for 2 cm Flak 38

SOGA-8 - WSS Crew for 2 cm Flak 38

Each sets consists of 4 figures sculpted by Dmitry Shishkov, also in 1/35 scale.

Nice looking figure set, but kind of funny as Flak is for air defense, and the crew is aiming level to the ground. And I know, it is crew for a Flak gun, still looked kind of amusing.

Well, the Flak 38 and the many other German flak guns were used just as much in the fire support roll as they were in air defense, so it's actually nice to see a set of figures using it as such.

Your right, I was watching a ww2 documentary , germans were defending a town, and they had a flak 38 on the ground floor of a building. It surprised me as well.

This weapon and many other Flak were used in Russia against human wave attacks you will also see them on the back of trucks doing the same thing in one film documentary one is set up on a road shooting down into a valley plus very good against light skinned vehicles or armour.

At the wars' end they were being mounted on the 251 series tracks in the single, double and triple barrel modes. This increased firepower helped off set the increasing lack of infantry. J
