I hope it is etch. It's the only thing that accurately represents slat armour in scale; and if you've ever done a voyager slat armour set you'll know how easy it can be. I done a T62 set that took about 15 minutes overall!

If the slat armor is plastic than I will buy it. If it is pe, they can keep it. Thanks Mike

Actually, this is bar armour not slat, which will be better in plastic... PE is not good for the 3D bar armour Hisham

I believe it was On the Mark Models who made a PE set for the T-34. The radiator grills were slats and bars. And guess what? They provided brass rod for the bars. I'd be cool with that for any bar armor set. Think about it - there will be mold seams on every bar, however minute. And they'll only be more more noticeable with painting and weathering. Except of course for those select few modelers whose cameras see what the human eye does not.

That's true.. of course brass rod will look better, no contest But, what highly skilled modelers like yourself need to realize is that the larger majority of modelers are beginners to intermediate, as I believe is the case in all hobbies.. only a small percentage of modelers are advanced with high skills.. and if I managed a modelling company, I would make kits the majority of people can build.. and the smaller percentage of advanced modelers will always have the option to get a metal set to get that "perfect" look they need to achieve... If they did it the other way around, average modelers, like me, will not have the option to go out and buy a plastic set of bar armor for their kits.. and we will just have to pass on that kit. Sorry for rambling on.. but this subject comes up a lot and highly skilled modelers are always saying "but it's really easy to put it together".. I'm sure it is easy for you.. but believe me it's not easy for a lot of people like me This is Tiger-Model's Nagmachon... I think it looks pretty good, even with a close up shot I guess this issue will never really be resolved.. advanced modelers want kits with all the extra metal stuff.. and average modelers want kits with plastic parts they can build with relative ease. I prefer kits that are as ACCURATE as possible. Adding PE is a personal choice I make, and I'm comfortable with companies leaving it out (many of DML's PE sets from the "Premium Edition" kits are so-so and I usually replace them with the Voyager or other set). What I DON'T like is when companies like MiniArt get the dimensions or hatches or other details WRONG like with their recent Pz. III Ausf. B & C.
