Trumpeter has just informed about their new HEMTT model, carrying a M901 Launching Station of MIM-104 Patriot SAM System. Coming soon but without date, we can see some interesting photos meanwhile.
The MIM-104 Patriot is a surface-to-air missile (SAM) system, the primary of its kind used by the United States Army and several allied nations. It is manufactured by the U.S. Defence contractor Raytheon and derives its name from the radar component of the weapon system.
The AN/MPQ-53 at the heart of the system is known as the "Phased Array Tracking Radar to Intercept On Target" or the bacronym PATRIOT.
Patriot has been given the function of the U.S. Army's anti-ballistic missile (ABM) system, which is now its primary mission.

According to the released photos, it is going to be a huge model with lots of parts and extensive photoetch. It can be shown both in deployment or firing mode, if the arms can be raised it could be shown in transport mode also.

Apart from the new M901 with 4 sealed missile containers, the HEMTT is a new tooling kit. It includes the cabin interior, the engine and transmission as well. All in all, a massive kit that will look really impressive on any shelf!

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on this one. can anyone give me a guess on the actual shipping to the US would be from Hobby Easy?
OCT 05, 2015 - 11:37 PM
Well, I asked Daniel at Hobbyeasy and he told me that these shipping rates are indeed estimates.. but he also said that the boxes are huge and heavy.. even the tractor, he estimates it at being at around 1.3 kilos.. so, whatever the actual shipping will be, it will still be somewhat high. They have to wait until they receive the boxes to be able to list the actual shipping. For me, I have no choice.. no model shops here Hisham

Looks like it is available in Asian shops. One also showed a full parts layout and instruction/decals scan. It looks like Trumpeter still has translation issues w/the decals. For example, #4 SET Engelmann, should be SGT; #7 Hydraul Ic Oil - Hydraulic Oil; #8 Drain Airtank Saile - Drain Air Tank Daily; 9 Diesee Fuel Oxl - Diesel Fuel Only; #18 NC Step - No Step; and my favorite # 22 Do Not Overf Ill Allcu For Expansion - Do Not Overfill Allow for Expansion. Gotta love it. Otherwise, it looks to be a good kit. Also, all the tractor parts are on a separate sprue with all the basic HMMTT parts separate as well. Hopefully we will see more HEMTT variants in the future.

Are we sure that the DML Patriot will ever be released?

Do we have any sprue shots yet on this mega model combo or am I looking in the wrong place? I would like to see how much better a job Trumpeter possibly did on their HEMTT tractor than Italeri's old mule of a kit!
