Miniart is coming with a new variant of their Caterpillar D7 tractor. This time as an U.S. Army Bulldozer with a smaller blade, showing the open engine and again with over 600 parts.
The Ukrainian company offers a kit with sliding moulds technology, clear parts and a small photo etch fret. The workable tracks are also worth to mention, so as colour instructions.

It is the perfect subject for practising heavy weathering, from rust and scratches on the blade to lots of mud and dust on the hull, plus oil and dirt for the engine...

This fourth variant looks highly detailed, and though not suitable for a weekend project, it will become and impressive piece on its own or as a part of a diorama.

____________________________________________________________________________ AMEN to all those requests![/quote] SEE? I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!!! You Panzer-guys can keep ALL of your "Paper Panzers" that NEVER EVEN MADE IT OFF THE DRAWING BOARDS!!! We US/Allied fans could all use some completely new, state-of-the-art kits of these basic, grass roots and IMPORTANT vehicles!!!

I am definitely a dyed in the wool WWII US Motor pool guy. Fortunately many of the hobby manufactures seem have been feeding my habit of late! However I do seem to have a weakness for big, Russian, cold war 8x8's and I am also guilty of building at least one paper panzer (CAUSE I DREW THE PAPER!) Sd.Kfz 88m - Took a Silver Medal at the AMPS Nationals a few years back. I apologize - Off Topic and blowing my own horn!

Yep, I already covered this LZ kit as well a couple of weeks ago: LINK Not sure if this Dozer variant entered service during WWII or afterwards, but as the D7 was introduced in 1938, it could well be a wartime vehicle

You can notice one in the foreground, along with other dozers and tractors waiting for the D-Day in England : Here's a Canadian one on the Gustav Line in May 1944 : H.P.

The original tracked tanks went back to the British No.I LINCOLN MACHINE (Tritton Machine), and "Little Willie". Great Britain also produced such machines as the "FLYING ELEPHANT" with 3-inches of frontal armor and 2-inches of side armor. There were also quite a few variations of the Mk.V, Mk.VI, and Mk.VII, culminating in the British/US joint effort, the Mk.VIII "LIBERTY TANK" of late 1917-1920... US efforts were based on the CLB 75 Tank, Caterpillar-Holt HA 36 and G-9 Tanks, the Holt Gas-Electric Tank, a STEAM TANK, based on the British Mk.IV, a THREE-WHEELED STEAM TANK, and the "Skeleton Tank, built by the Pioneer Tractor Co, of Winona, Minnesota. Designed by the Ford Motor Company, we also had the Ford 3-ton Tank, with Model T mechanicals... The US also bought and "license-built" the French FT/M1917 6-ton Light Tank... WONDERFUL STUFF!!!
