Probably a bad example as I've often considered the typical relationship between car owners and their vehicles as lying somewhere between humorous and pathological. Blind brand loyalty does not help the consumer. I don't understand it. Using the brand as a preliminary indicator of an item or to manage one's expectations is fine. If you look deeply, people choose a brand in the first place because their product has something they like. What benefit does it serve to the company or the buyer to stick with products that don't? Yeah, it may be disappointing to realize that DML doesn't cut it any more, but after about 30 seconds you have to realize that IT'S A GODDAMN MODEL KIT and move on. Now you're getting it. No, not really. Brand Loyalty is an irrational preference to buy based solely on past experience. Simply being interested in a particular companies products isn't loyalty. Or rather, it's the same amount of loyalty that companies show to you. KL

I built Dragon's Brummbar w/zim smart kit..it's a really, really nice kit. Looks like this will be based on it. So adding an antennae to the kit would be a good idea...as long as the price is the same.

I have 2 things to say; 1. The forum is about models. When you start discussing negativity, the emotions of the posters, or how we should all get a life.... you're no longer discussing models. You're discussing people. That is off topic. 2. Instead of thinking about this as a new model, why don't you think of it as the same old model with a new box? Why do you have expectations that clearly don't match Dragon's way of doing business? All disappointment is caused by expectations! David

Maybe the "only slightly News" from Dragon could be labelled as such when presented as News on the Forum and in the News area That could maybe reduce the level of expectation and limit the frustration/disappointment. Yes, it IS News but at the same time it is sort of old News, same old kit with a few new parts. Maybe it could be labelled as a re-release with additional parts ? I might even buy one, I don't think I have the previous boxing .. Brand loyalty (which I don't have any at all): It is sort of comforting to know that Dragon kits that have gone OOP will soon turn up as a "new" kit with some additional bits & pieces / Robin

Then we shouldn't expect much, if anything, from Dragon!

Looks like most negative comments here are not about Brummbar, but about DML as a kit manufacturer in general, a manufacturer that, being a leader in WWII subjects, especially German, for some time, is gradually switching to action figures and 'Black label' kits with numerous flaws, under-researched original vehicles and simplifications all around. Well, it is so, but...I'm sure they sell the new Wittmann Tiger I by tonnes which is good for many, just like having 'another variant of Pz.IV/Pz/III/Stug.' So, German subjects are still in favor, although Bergepanther and numerous other vehicles are (hopefully) yet to be kitted... Just my 2 cents here, Cheers, Paul
