251 Ausf.C 2-in-1

Some news out of Dragon Models has an Sd.Kfz.251 on the way with two options for building.

Dragon Models has announced an Sd.Kfz.251/17Ausf.C 2-in-1 kit, the options including a command version or anti-aircraft with a 2cm FlaK 38. I have seen the 3-in-1 kits offered in the past, but I do believe this is the first time I have seen this combination offered in the same kit. Either way, one kit two options, not a bad deal.

According to Dragon Models USA this kit should be available in September 2014.

Hmmm...previously released kits, combined. And they are German. No room for error there! Maybe Dragon has finally exhausted possibilities for StuG's, Panthers, and Tigers, and have shifted their focus to half-tracks.

A self-correction; there usually was a fit problem between upper and lower hull halves with DML half-tracks. But then, I experienced similar problems with AFV and Tamiya kits.

As far as I know, and have experienced, AFV Club kits have the worst upper and lower hull fits. But, with a good few ounces of putty, you end up with a kit on the same level as Dragons

Dragon and AFV Club have not done the 251 B series so there is still room in the 1/35th universe for more.
