A press release from vt-models has just announced the introduction of a 1/35 scale EPS Springer, produced by MMK models.
Containing coloured photo etch and resin parts, this comprehensive new release from MMK looks impressive. The EPS Springer looks like an interesting subject and this kit should hopefully do it justice.

It can be purchased direct from vt-models by clicking on this link:

Item code:

1aaF30 49 - 1/35 EPS Springer

Armorama would like to thank vt-models for the update

If you would like a real one, they are being auctioned off : LINK The only one I saw in Afghanistan was in 2008. It was in FOB ARMADILLO, but I dont think it was ever used, not even inside the FOB. Some one had even placed sign on it saying; not mission worthy..... Heinrich

Exactly what I was thinking. It looks to be a great starting point for a SEAL FAV FAV (Fast Attack Vehicle) used by the US Navy SEALS during ODS ('90-'91) and in A'stan and Iraq. It was built by Chenowth Corp, who builds offroad, race dune buggies. It has been on lots of builder's wants list for a long time. Dragon announced one in the mid '90s and recently, Bronco announced one. Neither has come to fruition.

OK ! Indeed this one would be so nice. Bronco ? I heard about Hobbyboss. And you can vote for the FAV for a possible future project from Revell. LINK

I saw some private owners on Youtube with the SEAL DPV so nowadays it shouldn't be that hard to obtain the measurements of one. I know HobbyBoss is supposedly making one, but I don't know about Bronco. I asked MMK if they intend on making any FAVs, and not just the SEAL DPV but others such as the USMC ITV or Flyer. I'll post a reply if the answer is "yes."

That is of course HRH The Prince of Wales in the passenger seat, taking a joy ride. A useful item for rear area runaround duties but not suitable for much else. It is about as dangerous as a Land Rover in foreward areas, no real protection capabilities. And I don't mean by way of firepower. A nice little addition to my modern British to do stash. Keith.

Ungainly, odd-sticky-out bits, expensive, & not a lot of use? or the Vehicle! The FAV would be more popular, it's a Baja Buggy, & had some slight use in the sand-box, but not for long.
