Some more re-releases are coming from Italeri, including some paratrooper, a jeep, motorcycles, and an OP.
Italeri has announced a list of April releases in 1/35 scale that include the U.S. Paratroops, U.S. Motorcyle set, and Ambulance Jeep. And for diorama fans an observation post. The re-releases should bring back memories for most of us.

309 – U.S. Paratroops
322 – U.S. Motorcycles
326 – 1/4 ton 4x4 Ambulance Jeep
418 – Observation Post

Just got to be an April fools - especially for anyone buying this old crap !

Although I agree with most of the comments about the re release of these old kits, especially the quality of the figures, which by todays standards are terrible I still think there is a place in the market for them so long as the price is right. My 9 year old son can't afford to go out and spend a small fortune on the latest Dragon kit, but lets face it, he still gets as much fun out of building and painting something that costs half the price and he's not as bothered about the accuracy and quality as I and most other adult modellers. I for one would rather he spent his small amount of pocket money on being creative than on Xbox games!

Yeah, I agree Rob....exactly right, my son is the same..I guess us older blokes are too spoilt now and have high standards as a result. But yes they are great little kits for the little tackers..!!

While I agree whole-heartedly with the comments of the two comments above, the reality is that Italeri (like Tamiya) are putting Premium prices on these ridiculous re-re-re-re-releases. Frankly, it's a lot cheaper getting some of the Masterbox or MiniArt sets for kids to cut their teeth on. They're not particularly complex and there's a lot more for kids to choose from.

They reissue old outdated kits or figures that nobody wants and by the other hand they hide models as, i.e., the Dodge ambulance. It is obviously they did not learned with their M24 Chaffee. The hide it for years, until Bronco launched its own (a very much better quality kit), now, Italeri´s one no one wants it even as a gift!

Move along, nothing to see here.

You're not kidding!!

He, guys, give it a break! Italeri re-re-re-releases some modelling sets. But we should not forget that those, who read the articles on PMMS, Missing Lynx, Armorama and alike, belong to those who go over the edge! There are modellers, who are very happy with a simple jeep or a set of paras. They either are happy with the low price, middle quality, or they start here and grow into something like the Bronco paras with their jeep! So, let us not waste more breath to this. There is a market, but not being US!
