Some interesting news in from >Revell, a blast from the past is back as part of their Renewal Blueprint Models.
Revell Germany has announced the return of the 1/32 scale M-47 Patton tank. This is a kit that many of us may remember from way back, if we are willing to admit that we are that old. The release will include 5 figures, opening engine covers, and separate turret hatches. If you want to relive the glory days of modelling, this may be the kit for you.

I recall that this - or another of their tanks - has opening hatches for the engine and driver, too! I love these models!

okay what exactly is the point of 1/32 scale for AFV model?
JAN 15, 2014 - 01:11 AM
Only point is releasing a kit with molds that already existed. I think Revell realizes their customers are old enough to remember these kits as one of their firsts and are banking on a nostalgic interest.

I agree it's nostalgia. These aren't very good kits by modern standards, more than anything they were built and then played with. Still for some of these, like the Atomic Cannon and the M56 it's the only way to go and these days with a lot of work they can still be nice kits. And really you could also ask what the point is of a 1:35th scale kit? 1/32nd is a standard scale for aircraft.
