Loving this release. Yeah design wise it was probably not the most practical for trench warfare but it certainly is an interesting shape and, as Andy pointed out, there is a great deal of potential in the shape for all kinds of weathering.

Oh, that is truly awesome and a pre-order buy on my end. New tool WW1 tank kits are such a gaping hole that it is great to see them statt to fill them. One can hope for a Mk IV and A7V to follow but this is something only seen in resin so I am happy.

I am, if anything, even more enthused about this release than I was Meng's Char 2C, and the Char 2C one was really exciting. I've actually been collecting the info to scratch build the St. Chamond, so it's been on my radar screen for a few years now. However, now it will be on my "special order" list with my LHS. Those drive sprockets have held me off scratchbuilding to date![/quote] Well, not to take this thread too far off track, but there were several things that I wasn't looking forward to doing when it came to a scratch-built St. Chamond - the tracks and 75mm gun among them. I finally cracked the code on the details of the underside which was my major hold-up, though, and this put the project on my "to do" list of actual projects. Hopefully, with the 75mm gun, Takom's kit will provide the entire gun and mount. The prototype's arrangement and casemate design really calls for a complete gun assembly. If Takom does this right, though, there's no reason whey they shouldn't be able to release the 75mm gun on its carriage as a separate kit. This would be another great injection-molded subject that will fill a significant hole in what's available.
