Back in january, when we published the advance details of Dragon Model's release program (or at least the ones I could talk about), one of the more interesting announcements was the creation of a new 'line' - the 'Premium Edition' Range..

To explain briefly and to clear up any confusion, the NEW range, is a means of updating older (but essentially sound) models with the addition of Photo-Etch, Metal barrels and, in the case of the figure sets, the addition of components from their Generation 2 - new heads, equipment weapons etc...

The first of the Premium Edition range will be available from next month..

Starting with the armor range, the first has been announced:

DRA 6311- Elefant, Sd. Kfz 184 - (Premium Edition Kit)



The listed features include:

- new cupola with photo-etched parts

- periscopes made from clear parts

- brand new Elefant Magic Tracks

- new pistol port can be assembled open or closed

- all new aluminum gun barrel

- slide-molded muzzle brake

- new machine gun mount allows MG to rotate

- OVM are new

- toolbox formed from photo-etched parts with an accurate interior; can be assembled open/closed

- metal tow cable plus slide-molded cable heads

- bonus photo-etched side fenders give maximum accuracy

- photo-etched cable stowage brackets

- photo-etched tow hooks

- exciting box art illustration

- new Cartograf decals

Moving onto figures, two new sets are scheduled for release in april and may:

DRA 6304 - Panzergrenadier Division, "Grossdeutschland" (Karachev 1943) - Premium Edition Kit



The listed features include:

- Includes P-38 pistol (with hollow muzzle!)

- New and highly accurate stick and egg grenades

- Bonus set of four lifelike Dragon Styrene heads

- New shovel carriers (portrayed with shovels removed)

- Full set of photo-etched parts including belt buckles, gun slings and insignia

The second set is:

DRA 6305 - Waffen SS Panzer Grenadiers, Kharkov 1943 (Premium Edition Kit)



The listed features include:

- Upgraded personal equipment and gear

- Upgraded weapons

- Photo-etched parts (gun slings, helmet straps, insignia etc)

- Four completely new heads made from Dragon Styrene (for maximum detail)
