MENG Model has released news of their latest offering in plastic and it is to be the French AUF1 155mm Self-propelled Howitzer.
It would seem MENG Model have been busy with news of a French AUF1 155mm Self-propelled Howitzer in 1/35th scale. The model is listed as featuring a detailed interior with all hatches being able to be shown open or closed, the model will also feature individual track links and photo etched detail parts. Here is the information as supplied by MENG Model

AUF1 155mm Self-propelled Howitzer, which is famous for its advanced fire control system, universal turret as well as quick response speed, saw operation during the Iran-Iraq war and peacekeeping operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. MENG now brings precise and accurate reproduction of this French main equipment which owns much similarity with AMX-30B MBT. Its interior construction is precisely reproduced and all turret hatches can be built open or closed. Fine PE parts and workable track links are also provided in this kit. Let’s work on it and experience its unique glamour!

where is the god damn T-90?
DEC 30, 2012 - 02:09 AM
You have to realize that the T-90 was in the very early stages of development - just CAD images - and they only announced it back then to counter Zvezda's announcing theirs.. I guess to make some people refrain from buying Zvezda's kit and wait for the MENG offering. Hisham

MENG have commented on their Facebook page that it's only a partial interior. But I guess that's still better than nothing.. if it gives us a base to work with Hisham

Ok, I have one question, don't want to start another thread since this one is exactly about what I want to know. Does someone knows what is the historical error that was on the first cover photo, please?

Wrong -early- tracks for an IFOR vehicle. So Meng seems to have eliminated the IFOR markings, and keep the "old" style tracks... Already discussed here: LINK
