Nuts & Bolts: Jagdpanzer 38

The latest volume of Nuts & Bolts, dealing with the Jagdpanzer 38 and variants, is now available.

Having dealt with the unarmoured half-tracks of the former German Wehrmacht in the past, the author describes the development of these vehicles, their technical description and their use on the German side during the Second World War up to the use of the Jagdpanzer 38 under the well-known designation G 13 by the Swiss Army up to the 1970s in the most comprehensive work on the Jagdpanzer 38 and its variants to date.

  • 336 pages of German-English text and photo captions by Dr Nicolaus Hettler,
  • 335 contemporary photos,
  • 230 photos of surviving vehicles in museums and private collections,
  • approx. 80 scale drawings in 1:35 by Lieven De Conninck of all known versions including Bergepanzer 38 and Flammpanzerwagen 38,
  • 16 camouflage schemes based on historical photos by Laurent Lecocq,
  • 46 tables with technical and historical details,
  • 3 KStN TOEs by Joachim Baschin and information on units that were equipped with the vehicles.

The collection of historical photos of this vehicle is particularly impressive, as it is usually very difficult to find operational photos of German vehicles from the last years of the war in an undamaged condition.
