Arto: German SS Tank Crew

Arto has three new figures of German SS Tank Crew

35028 SS-Oscha. Johann Terdenge 05/36

This is the fifth figure in the 12SS 6 Kompanie series.

It was scultped based on well-known archival photographs. He has an Italian army glove in his hand, obtained by the 1SS in 1943. It was widely worn on the Eastern Front by 1SS in the winter of 1943–1944.

He is wearing a Kriegsmarine leather uniform top and bottom and a leather winter hat. This hat is common in tankers of the 3SS Panzer Division during the battle of Kharkov in the winter of 1943.

The figure includes two heads: one with the earflaps detached and the second with the earflaps attached, as can be seen in the photos.

He wears 7x10 binoculars around his neck, which give this figure its distinctiveness.

The kriegsmarine leather uniform on the figure were widely worn near the end of the war, so it can be used for most SS Panzer units without modification of the uniform (1SS, 2SS, 3SS, 9SS, 12SS, sSS501, sSS502, sSS503 etc)

It is also suitable for use with the 1SS of the Eastern Front in the winter of 1943/44 or in the Battle of Ardennes in December 1944.

35029 SS-Hstuf. Wittmann, im Tiger

This is Wittmann aboard the Tiger-I "231", based on the famous news film taken in July.

While the previously released 35021 Wittmann was of when he was a SS-Obersturmführer at the Battle of Villers-Bocage,

this new release figure is of Wittmann after being promoted to SS-Hauptsturmführer, along with the award of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords

The small changed details of the knight's iron cross, neck collar, and shoulder have been created.

As it is a Tiger-I "231" pose, this figure can be used with Tiger-I 231 as well as "007".

This item includes headphone etching.

35029 SS-Strm. Günter Boldt, im Tiger

This figure is of Günter on board with Wittmann on the 231 Tiger-I, inspired by the well-known footage of the news film taken in July.

He died shortly after the film was taken at aged 18.

He is wearing an M44 Dot patterned panzer jacket and trouser. His M43 cap has a lot of folds that show its extensive use.

His pose is of him holding on to the Tiger-I loader hatch. It's a common pose that can be widely matched with not only s.SS- Pz.Abt.101 but also other SS heavy tank battalions that had Tiger-I and Tiger-II.
