Resicast: Closing by end of 2023

Sad news from Resicast.

Dearest customers and modeling friends,

Sadly, the time has come for Resicast to cease business after more than 32 years of activity in the world of fine scale modeling.

Indeed, I have decided, for age-related reasons to put an end to the Resicast adventure. The business will cease on 31 December 2023.

This has not been an easy decision, because ending my Resicast activity and retiring means a major shift in my life.

Indeed, I have been focused on Resicast for the past 32 years, and keeping the business going has required quite some effort. Fortunately, creating and selling scale kits has also brought me tremendous satisfaction and I have struck up numerous friendships in many countries, for which I am grateful. Looking back, these years have been most rewarding.

So, the end is getting close, but it’s not over yet.

During the next few months, I will release several new kits but more about these later.

New molds will be made for some older kits (i.e. Para REME trailers, Terrapin, M4A4DD…). However, I will cease production of some others.

All available items are listed on the Resicast website and once out of stock, that will be the end. So now is the time to acquire anything you may have on your ‘wanted list’. Everything in stock will be available online until February 2024.

Managing Resicast has brought me tremendous satisfaction and my deep-felt thanks go to each of you who has purchased kits, provided feedback (both good and bad) and continuously fueled my enthusiasm for modeling during 32 years.

Will RESICAST continue in one form or another? It is too early to say even if there has been interest in the business already! In other words, the Resicast brand and/or masters are up for sale and I’ll happily respond to any serious queries.

I will also attend several trade shows this year, and I look forward to meeting you there.

Also, please note that my very last Open House will be on Saturday 26 August, but more about this closer to the date.

The Resicast adventure would not have been possible without the unconditional support of my wife Florence, modeling help from Gérard De Troeye, Lionel Delhalle, Christophe Nachtergael, George Moore, Luke Davis, Alex van de Wetering, Léon Hassing (I apologize to those I may have omitted) and all of you, my faithful customers.
