In 1996 Nuts & Bolts covered the four-wheel armoured scout cars for the first time (author Tony Greenland). This issue 4 was sold out after a short time. The demand has continued until today.
They have therefore decided to take up this topic again and to present all vehicles of the so to speak 2nd generation of these armoured reconnaissance vehicles, i.e. the Sd.Kfz. 221/222/223/247 (4-wheel)/260 and 261 and their known variants by Panzerspähwagen specialist Holger Erdmann.
This volume has the usual Nuts & Bolts structure, with 293 historic photos in b&w, 11 tables with technical data and 151 colour photos of museum vehicles of the types Sd.Kfz. 222 and 223 or their main components, 16 camouflage and markings drawings by Laurent Lecocque; technical drawings and for the first time outlines of all units that have been in service with these vehicle types. In order to keep the weight under 1Kg and save on shipping, the photos of the models by Vinnie Branigan and Roland Greth have been omitted but will be available into their homepage www.nuts-bolts.de
Look forward to this new volume 47 of the Nuts & Bolts series, which is scheduled for publication at the beginning of September 2022 and is already on pre order.
