Russian T-34/85 1945 'Inspirations' by Adam Wilder

Adie Roberts continues his inspirations to help inspire modellers of all abilities to work out of their comfort zone building dioramas or just trying new builds.

A fantastic build of this Russian T-34/85 1945 is by modelling friend Adam Wilder

This model depicts a Russian T-34/85 with retrofitted German Panzer IV Thoma shields. I had wanted to construct this T-34 for years. I felt that the flimsy sand yellow shields would contrast nicely with the darker green finish of the T-34. The model is from DML with Aber photo-etch. The resin turret is a copy I had on hand of a Factory No. 112 “alternative” type turret. The actual black and white photo in this gallery is the only T-34 I have seen with this particular type of modification. This model is the focus of a DVD entitled, “Dealing with Photoeatch”. You can find more information on this DVD at
