I purchased two large scale figures from Blacksnake-model.com in their Big Red 1 Vietnam range, which they recently expended further to increase resting figures, too.
The figures arrived promptly and in good order, and on unpacking them, I discovered they were in rather heavy print frames, see images. I started out with a razor saw and Dremel, but this wasn't going to work. So... I got out a reciprocating saw and, after trimming as many contact points as I could reach, cut the base off below the feet of each.
This worked a treat and the frames came away easy. And this is when I noticed the damage I'd done on one of the figures, the radio operator. I'd broken the aerial and telephone cable, easily fixed. I would have replaced the telephone cable with coiled wire anyway.
The figures are well detailed, crisply printed, and with only a couple of minor flaws, see images. The poses are what caught my eye first, being active, and these two work together well. Also, there are few if any other figures out there of this subject specifically.
BlackSnake, these are a couple of winning figures, very recommended.
