Read review, 'WW2 Vehicles Through the Lens Vol. 6', by Jon Feenstra

WW2 Vehicles Through the Lens is a new series of photographic albums presenting military and civilian vehicles used by the military during World War Two. Each book will have five-eight parts, each dealing with a different subject featuring mostly previously unpublished photographs. 124 pages with monochrome images.

Contents of Volume 6:

Typ 82 Kfz.1 “Kübelwagen”

Pz.Kpfw.VI Tiger Ausf.E (Tiger I)

Gepanzerter Zugkraftwagen & 8.8cm Flak 18 “Bunkerknacker”

15 cm s.I.G.33 (Sf ) auf Pz.Kpfw.I Ausf.B

Geschützwagen III/IV für s.F.H.18/1 (Sf.) (Sd.Kfz.165) “Hummel”

Somua S35 / Pz.Kpfw.35S

Several pages of large, clear images of the above vehicles, with multiple images of the same vehicle for the Bunkerknacker and Somua, accompanied by a concise explanation of the image, there is very little reading to be had here. I particularly liked the multiple images for the Bunkerknacker and the Somua.

The images cover a range of theaters and years, there is no particular theme, the images are excellent for detail and weathering, and just good reference in general.

The book is hardback and in landscape format, which allows for good resolution of the images.

I tried to find a negative, but there really is nothing, the captions are concise and accurate, as you'd expect from Through the lens. Easily recommended.
