Live resin assault trio

A photo review of three large scale figures custom printed by Live Resin.

Intro

I follow the Live Resin thread here as Yaroslav releases some of the best, modern, cutting-edge figures currently available; however, these are not readily available here in New Zealand, and it is a bit of an effort to order ex-Russia... there is no website to go to, select a figure, select a scale, and pay. But to Yaroslav's credit, we preserved and the effort was rewarded. I ordered the three guys in the above image in 1/9 scale, they arrived sometime later, coming via London (a small town in England with a nice bridge, among other attractions).

The figures are all printed hollow, which was a surprise, but are light weight, which saves on material and postage, and incredible detailed. The undercut on the straps, the hollow eye loops, and other detail is amazing.

The figures are printed in as few parts as possible, being the complete torso with arms and legs, with all the accoutrements you'd expect from a special forces assault team of three, a head in helmet, and hands on assault rifle / shield separate. A clear visor for each is included and clear parts for the vison block in the shield. This made postage a little difficult as they arrived in bags, not boxes, with a couple of broken parts. Easily fixed and entirely understandable given they came via a third country and not direct.

I expect to replace the visors as the printed resin is not very clear in this scale. That's what modelling skills are for. And I expect I'll grab some more in the new year, too. In the meantime, I am looking for images of the real deal as reference...

Anyway, the images... starting with 35193

front of 35193, note straps are printed in-situ

and rear

head, left side

head, right side,

head, back.

front of the shield,

35194, again, straps printed in-situ

no, I have not removed the supports

that is not my toenail with the head and rifle. Yes, the rifle is a little bent at the suppressor.

35195 - the suppressor broke off in postage... just need to add the head

the boom mike is printed straight, an easy fix.

rear of shield, note the handle is broken to the left of the hand, part is in the bag, will only need a drop to glue to repair
