Introduction:
The TerMIT (Terrain Modular Infantry Transporter) UGV is a modular, tracked robotic platform developed by Tencore LLC from Ukraine. Designed to perform a range of battlefield tasks while keeping personnel out of harm’s way, it can be rapidly adapted for various missions, including logistics (resupplying units and evacuating casualties), direct fire support (equipped with heavy machine guns or grenade launchers), mine-clearance operations, and serving as a mobile base for electronic-warfare systems.
Scale X recently released several variants of unmanned ground vehicle TerMIT, as 3D printed kits in 1/35 scale. This review covers TerMIT logistic version (VM35005).
Review:
The kit comes in a nicely designed cardboard box, with the box art image featuring the assembled model and listing the parts included in the kit.
Opening the box reveals two large 3D printed carriers. These fit perfectly to the box and are designed with a side mesh to minimize the possibility of damage during transport. Also included in the box is a ‘Thank you’ note and two Scale X stickers… a nice touch from the company.

The kit consists of 32 pieces. The part cleanup is easy, even for those with basic modeling skills, but it takes time and requires patience. I used sharp side cutters to remove the side mesh from 3D printed carriers and then carefully removed each piece from its numerous supports, with the final cleanup done using fine grit sandpaper. Some of the parts are very delicate and would not tolerate manhandling, so I advise being extra cautious with those.
I inspected the pieces and was very impressed with the printing quality. I found a couple of small irregularities which need to be filled with putty, but nothing serious. The details are sharp and wonderfully delivered in scale.
Assembly:
There is no assembly guide provided in the box. Scale X tells me there are plans to include the instructions in the upcoming batches of the kit, but until then modelers will have to deduce the build sequence for themselves.
I took some time to identify the parts and check the reference images. For this review I annotated the parts and I'm showing photos of the assembly steps.
Although there are no instructions, assembling this set is fairly straightforward.
The kit also provides several boxes of supplies and ordnance. Two large wooden boxes, two smaller wooden boxes and two different ammo cans… a very welcomed addition to the model indeed.
I didn’t have any issues building the model. The fit is really good and I didn’t have to use any putty throughout the build process. The finished model looks really cool.
The accuracy of the model is ensured by designing this 1/35 scale kit in association with Tencore, the company which manufactures the TerMIT robotic platform. With all the necessary information, scale plans and dimensions of the vehicle at hand, Scale X was successful in producing an authentic miniature replica of TerMIT UGV.
Conclusion:
This is my first kit from Scale X and I must say I’m very much impressed. Everything about the kit feels very well thought of, from the design of the box and protection of the pieces inside the box, to the nicely printed pieces and ease of assembly. Yes, the cleanup will take some time, but the end result is well worth the extra effort.
Altogether, I’m definitely loving how the finished model looks and can’t wait to make a small vignette with it.
