T-Model Zeltbahn Tent Review

Review of T-Model resin German Zeltbahn tent in 1/35.

Each German Soldier during WWII received as part of the combat equipment a camouflaged poncho, which could be used also to build a tent using four of them.

T-Model offers a resin model of such a tent in 1/35 scale.

This model is inspired on a well known photo of one installed on a railway flatcar, hanging from the muzzle brake of a Tiger. The set includes also the Tiger muzzle brake cover, in resin.

The set is packaged on a rigid plastic box and padded with bubble wrapping, thus perfectly protected.

It comes in one piece for the tent and one for the muzzle brake cover, therefore no assembling is needed.

The tent is an almost solid piece, with a casting block on the base that has to be removed. As there is only one way to show the tent, there is no detail affected

The detail is excellent, with buttons and seams, and the casting is flawless with no bubbles or deformations. It has been sculpted with the realistic hanging cloth wrinkles, which are different on each side. It has also a small flat lip on the base, as can be seen on real ones.

The canvas muzzle brake is equally well done, and comes with a small and easy to remove casting block.

Despite it is shown on a railway wagon, it can be used on ground as well -which was a more common use, in fact.

Once painted, it is done.

In summary, this is a nice piece of equipment that comes almost ready to use and will look great on a railway wagon or scene.
