Turkish Army M48A5T2

The basic kit is the Dragon M48A3 mod B. Some parts from an Academy M48A5 e.g. air filters were used. The conversion set and the tracks are from Slingshot models. The cupola is of the Chrysler type, the gunner's sight is the same with the M60A3 and the set provides the wind sensor, antenna bases and a small flag pedestal on top of the turret. The barrel, made from resin, is included in the Slingshot set and it is superb. The mantlet is a resin one from Legend. I also used Slingshot sprockets and front mudguard sides. The machine gun on the cupola is from the Academy machine gun set and I scratchbuilt the turret basket stowage using Light-Cure Trays from dental equipment

About Nikos Brestas (GTDeath13)
FROM: ATTICA, GREECE / Ελλάδα

Mostly interested in modern armor and especially IDF vehicles. M48s and M60s are my main modelling interest, especially Magach versions. Some builds are superdetailed and some are just for the fun of finishing something. I also build ship models.

Comments

Very nice and the use of the dental tray materials for the stowage bin was interesting enough to warrant a "how-to" video on its own. Timely subject even if the Turkish army probably is not currently using this tank for much of anything anymore.
