Maxxpro plus MRAP

  • move
This is Jason Yus recently finished Maxxpro plus MRAP. The base kit is from Kinetic and converted with DEF resin parts. Voyager and Tetra photo etch parts were used to improve detail. Jason also added some missing details himself. The model was painted with MIG AMMO acrylics and washed with TAMIYA enamel. Light weathering was done with MIG MUD and dust wash.

Great job. I'm also curious about the search lights and headlights - those small details really stand out. Also, great job on the tire weathering - I'd like to hear how you got the weathering lines on the tires.

Hi,Christ! Glad you like it! About the tires, after the basic painting, spray the wheel with thinned(1:20) dust color(I use Tamiya acrylics XF-57+XF-2), then use cotton swabs dipped in X 20A thinner and rub the tire part, just like dry brushing. Hope this can be of help.
