I used to model aircraft when I was very young, my dad would hang my planes from the ceiling and put round clear plastic discs to act as a spinning prop. I dropped out of modelling for a long time then got back into it by way of an accident I had at work. I recieved burns on my arm, face and back. I...

Nice model buddy I have an ICM Henschel truck in the stash and I'll use this for inspiration. I'm assuming this is the ICM kit, I've heard some of the parts can be tricky to remove from the sprues because they're quite brittle. How did you find it? Any fit issues? Nice job Andy

About to start building this one too, so I'd love to hear about the build details!

Thanks Batsaikhan. The stowage rack on top was scratch built from Basswood and spare photo-etch. Tarps were made from Magic-Sculpt and Tamiya tape straps. Thanks for looking, Wingman out.

Thanks Andy. I think I saw it on Squadron, in their monthly catalog. I like the bulkiness and look of the truck. Some of the suspension parts were not used as they broke while trying to get them off the sprue. The detail is great, it's just getting the small parts off the sprue that made this build a little challenging. Thanks for looking, Wingman out.

Thanks Jake. Assembly of the chasis is tricky as there are a lot of parts. The frame rails are two seperate parts so take your time and line them up carefully with the other parts that make up the chasis. The big box that makes this model so cool looking has nice detail and fits together well. Fitting the long and bending exhaust pipe was a bit frustrating but some try and try again got it done. All in all I would refer this kit to someone, just take your time with the small parts removal and the tricky chasis. Post some of your photos Jake, would like to hear how this build goes for you. Thanks for looking, Wingman out.

Excellent. I assume the stowage is Value Gear and other things?

Thanks Bill. Some of the stowage is from Verlinden, Custom Dioramics and Tasca. The ladder is scratchbuilt from basswood and the unditching beams are also basswood. The tarps are from Magic-Sculpt. Thanks for looking, Wingman out.
